Chapter 1992
Sebastian looked at his father with an icy cold gaze. " Where is Lily?"
"Lily...she?" Sean said. Nobody knew.
"Has she run off?" Sebastian asked knowingly.
He had expected it. The reason he had spared Lily's life was so that he would not make Malvolio
suspicious. Therefore, when Sebastian was dealing with Malvolio, he had no time to control Lily. Such a clown-like woman, how else could she run?
The purpose of Sebastian coming over that day was to tell his father one thing. Sean looked at his son, who had an icy cold expression, and was feeling so terrified in his heart that he did not know what he should say. Sean just had on a guilty expression and did not dare to utter a single word.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Sebastian's tone was aggressive.
Rose was incomparably angry. She was both angry and afraid, so she spoke first in hopes of getting an advantage and showing her dominance. "Sebastian! What are you trying to say? How could you talk to your father like that?"
Sean turned to look at Rose. His gaze was so cold and sharp that it was as if it was a frosty and gleaming sword! Rose was so frightened that she retreated.
"Sebastian, you...what will you do?" Sean's heart was also pounding like a drum.
"All of your sons have lost their lives, so you blamed me for that?" Sebastian suddenly asked Rose.
"What do you...mean?" Rose asked.
"All of your sons have lost their lives, so you blamed me for that?" Sebastian asked again. He spoke with a tone that did not sound like he wanted to explain something, but it was as if he wanted to kill someone.
Rose had always known that Sebastian did not like her. However, he had never treated her with such aggressive frostiness with a murderous intent like he did that day.
Rose suppressed the fear in her heart. "Do you...do you want to kill your mother?"
"Killing my mother?" Sebastian sneered.
"Are you my mother?" he asked.
Rose forced herself to be calm. "I am your father's wife! In that sense, I am your stepmother!"
"Stepmother?" Sebastian sneered. There was a rich sense of misery and desolation in his laughter.
Sean also heard that kind of misery and desolation. He did not know why his son would exude such kind of desolation in his tone.
Seeing that Rose did not say anything, Sebastian continued and asked, "Have you, the stepmother, ever acknowledged my existence growing up?"
He was rather patient that day. He usually would not be bothered to respond to them.
