Chapter 260 5
"As long as you're able to not take things to heart," Kingston said gently.
Eevonne wiped her tears while looking at Kingston. "Do you think that I will really take a knife and kill my cousin?"
Kingston laughed. "No. You're not that silly, aren't you?"
Eevonne sighed. "My reputation in my village is ruined anyway. There's no going to be any man that wants me anymore. I'm already in this state, so I might as well just treat myself as a laborer. The first thing to do is to clear my debt. As for everything else, I'll just wait and see. Oh, Kingston, the payment for the hospitalization, could you..."
She looked at Kingston in embarrassment while biting her lips. All she had on her was only a thousand dollars at best. She had to use that money to travel to her temporary jobs and also to find a permanent job. she also had to use that for a month's living expenses. Therefore, she truly has no money to pay for the hospitalization expenses anymore.
Kingston smiled. "Eevonne! It's because you saved my life that you suffered a mild envenomation. How could I possibly let you pay for your expenses?"
Eevonne was slightly embarrassed. "But I'm afraid that you're not doing so well in terms of money as well. Aren't you here to ask for your payment? You still haven't gotten your payment. Do you have money?"
"I'm slightly better than you," said Kingston, "Don't worry." Eevonne nodded. "Thankyou, Kingston."
"Rest well tonight. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. You should spend a few more nights here in the hospital, and discharge when you have no more toxins left in your body. In any case, your relatives would never expect you to be staying in the hospital. Just let them be anxious. Let them be all eaten up by anxiety," Kingston smiled and said.
Eevonne burst out laughing as well.
"Get some sleep," said Kingston.
"Mm-hmm. You should go to bed too, Kingston. After I've complained so much to you today, I'm already feeling much better. I certainly will be able to sleep soundly."
"Sweet dreams then."
"Goodnight."
Eevonne was not lying at all when she said she would be able to sleep soundly. There was finally someone who was willing to listen to all her pent-up sorrows all those years. She felt extremely light as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her shoulders, she slept incredibly soundly that night.
Kingston, who was in the same room as her, could even hear the girl's soft snores. In the two hours that she had been going on and on telling him her story, she repeated a few times that she was a psycho, an insane person, a devil, and so on.
However, the girl looked extremely cute when she was sleeping. She slept on her side with both of her lands on top of the pillow and she just looked like a newly born puppy. Her mouth was slightly opened and she was drooling from the corner of her mouth. She was also smiling very sweetly in her dreams. The way she looked was incredibly harmless and extremely innocent. How could such a girl be a psycho? She probably had never truly met a psycho.
She has no idea how many girls in this world could not even endure a little hardship at all. Once they met a little trouble, they would directly give up on themselves. There were also girls who would do extremely harmful things to themselves for the sake of a few makeup products, and bags, and to be able to appear glamorous in front of others. Those kinds of girls were far more self-degrading compared to Eevonne.
