Chapter 2747
Since they wanted to let Yvonne's parents vent their feelings, they certainly had to let them vent their hearts out. Ruth glanced at Mila fiercely, said goodbye to her aunt and uncle, and then turned around and left.
Marcus' parents did not bother to take another look at Mila as well. Both of them went back to their room to take a rest. Marcus glanced at Mila helplessly. "I'll first take you to the hospital. After you've recovered a little, I'll take you to my in-laws."
"Alright." Mila looked at Marcus gratefully.
There was a pause before she asked, "why are you so nice to me?"
Marcus was speechless. 'Is what I'm doing being nice to you? Am I nice to you?'
Mila smiled. "With what you're doing, you're already very nice to me. Thank you."
Marcus tried his best to exhale. It took him a very long time to calm himself down and not let himself kick Mila again and then said calmly, "Come on. I’ll take you to the hospital."
It was after he had taken Mila to the hospital and arranged everything for her that Marcus walked out of the hospital. He got Mila a caregiver, let her use the best medicine, and arranged everything for her. However, he did not want to appear in front of Mila for even a second longer. He felt disgusted looking at her. He felt both disgusted and also a sense of guilt. He felt guilty toward Mila. The way Mila washed his clothes and wiped his body for him, as well as him aggressively kicking her and breaking two of her ribs, made Marcus feel a bottomless sense of guilt toward Mila.
The way Mila looked extremely pitiful would appear in his head at any moment. Therefore, he did not want to be by her side and walked out by himself.
As soon as he left the entrance of the hospital, he was surrounded by a group of reporters, "Master Marcus, may I know if you've taken Miss Mila Murphy in?"
"Fuck off!" Marcus said.
The reporters would never let this chance go so easily. "Master Marcus, plenty of people have witnessed you walking out of Miss Murphy's house this morning, and you were even carrying her in your arms. Did you...did you..."
"How do you want me to answer that?" Marcus asked.
"Honestly."
"Do you believe that I have nothing to do with her?" Marcus asked.
"No...of course, not. Both of you were already acting like that..."
"Then why are you still asking me?" Marcus walked forward quickly. He did not care what the reporters would write about him and what this matter would escalate into at all. To him, bad press, no matter what kind, did not matter to him at all. Perhaps that might even make Yvonne come out in public. His Yvonne has already been missing for about five years. What would matter more than Yvonne? Bad press? Them saying that he had kept Mila as his mistress?
It did not matter to him at all. It would be best if all of that would crush and kill him. He would then be able to go to the afterlife.
