Conrad could feel another headache coming. He stared at Fia saying, “No matter what, you have to apologize to Esme about what happened to her last night.”
Fla tightened her fists and asked coldly, “If I don’t?”
“Then I’m going to hold you responsible for this as well!”
“Hold me responsible? Did I bite her? Or did I slice her?!”
“Ah! Conrad, I’m so scared!” Esme screamed and held Conrad’s arm again, screaming as loudly as she could.
Fia’s eardrums were hurting from the screaming.
Jason frowned and started to get rid of the two. “Please leave, both of you.”
Conrad was worried about Esme as well. He took her in his arms and quickly left to look for a doctor.
Fia’s tensed body relaxed. Even when she sat on the bed, all she could do was look down as her tears blurred her vision.
“There’s something that I forgot to tell you.”
Jason then told her about it without her asking.
“That lady was admitted in the middle of the night with wounds all over her body. She almost jumped down from the hospital’s balcony because she lost control of her emotions.”
Fia trembled and tried to persuade herself, “She does that every time. Last time, she purposely jumped off her family home’s balcony to injure her legs.”
“On the tenth floor. One floor above you.”
Fla looked out from her room’s balcony, stunned.
Did something happen last night?
Did Victor really have someone do something to her?
But Eileen and she didn’t ask him to do anything.
Jason then said slowly, “She’s hiding all her injuries under the clothing.”
Fia suddenly remembered that Esme loved to wear dresses. She would wear a dress even when she was admitted to a hospital before this. She would never wear a hospital gown.
But when she came by, she was wearing a large and loose hospital gown.
“What kind of injury?”
“Sexual assault.” Jason tried to lower his voice, worried that he might scare her.
“Impossible!” Fia retorted. “Where’s my phone?”

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
