Stop It, She’s Remarrying (Fia and Conrad) novel Chapter 1106

Chapter 1106

Conrad lowered his eyes and asked. “What is ‘like’?”

Felicity was stunned and instantly got nervous.

“Conrad, are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere? Or did you recall something?”

Conrad lowered his gaze, feeling that there was no need to ask all these.

This kind of getting along with no waves, no burden, would not cause him any trouble.

“It’s fine. Let’s go in.”

After Felicity helped him to the living room, she personally went to cut up fruits and make tea. After she returned, she intentionally sat by his side.

“Conrad, just now you asked me what ‘like’ is. I think I can answer you.”

Conrad’s attitude was cold. “It was just a casual question. You don’t have to take it seriously.” “Like is liking something of someone, always remembering the person,” Felicity said gently. ” The other person would make you feel calm when you feel lost.”

Conrad’s expression did not change at all. “So are you telling me, I like you?”

He turned his head and stared at Felicity. The words he spoke did not have the least bit of emotion.

Felicity’s intentions were seen through, and she blushed in embarrassment, but did not panic. The corner of her lips curved into a nice arc as she asked very gently, “Then, after you woke up from your accident, who else has ever given you this feeling?”

“Ha.” Conrad gave a cold laugh. “Are you reminding me by asking me?”

Her voice held a kind of power. It was something he never quite managed to figure out over the five years.

Besides her voice, he had no feelings of being close to her as a person at all.

“No, Conrad.” Felicity gently placed a hand on the back of his palm. “I’m just concerned about you.”

Conrad’s line of sight fell on her hand and instinctively drew his hand away.

Felicity was not the least bit angry as she took her hand back and said gently, “Is it because I have been too tired lately and have not called you, so you feel unhappy?”

“No,” Conrad said instinctively.

He had never been able to understand why he liked listening to her voice, yet was repulsed by her being near.

“Then…” Felicity stared at Conrad as she tried to size him up, delight growing in her heart. This man was so outstanding. She really wanted to stay by his side and be his one and only. “What?” Conrad turned and saw the unabashed admiration in Felicity’s eyes. He frowned hard

and stepped back to widen the gap between them.

Felicity saw it and moved to the side a little. “Conrad, will you have time? My mom’s birthday is tomorrow. She plans to invite some friends and relatives over for a meal. Will you come?” Conrad did not rush to speak. Silas walked out and soon came back with an exquisite box.

“Miss Parker, this is the birthday gift Mr. Maxwell has prepared for your mother.”

Felicity accepted it with both hands as she looked at Conrad happily. “Conrad, thank you. You remembered.”

Conrad replied indifferently, “My mother reminded me.”

Felicity’s heart sank. However, she thought that since he put in effort into getting a gift for her mother, the show could still go on.

Conrad replied, “I won’t be attending tomorrow’s banquet. I have to make a trip for work.”

After he finished speaking, he picked up his cane.
