“Mommy!” Irene shook Fia’s arm, trying to plead with her, feeling so bad for poor Conrad.
Fia said in frustration, “That antiseptic’s alcohol concentration is too high. It’s not suitable to be used to clean an open wound!”
“Then, help him, Mommy!” Adrian said with a sob, “Uncle already has a bad leg. Are you going to ruin his hand too?”

Fia looked at her son speechlessly. To be frank, she couldn't care less about Conrad’s bleeding hand. She’d even be happier if it got ruined! There was no need to sympathize with a jerk like him!

Adrian and Irene approached Conrad to check on his hand. “Does it still hurt, Uncle?”
Conrad said as he still locked his eyes on Fia, “No, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“Uncle, you’re so stupid!” Irene pouted. “How could you hurt yourself like this?! Daddy always said that we must value our well-being and not hurt ourselves. If I got hurt, Daddy and Mommy would be heartbroken!”
Adrian pulled Irene aside and said, “Irene, don’t scold him. Your situation is very different from his.”

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
