Jason brewed two cups of ginger and lemon tea and served one of them on the other side of his desk. He glanced at Conrad and said, “Have a seat.”
Conrad glanced at the ginger and lemon tea on the desk and asked, “Why did you give Eileen Reid your blood?”
“Aren’t you overreacting, Mr. Maxwell?” Jason almost chuckled. “I’m a doctor. Not to mention, Ms. Reid is our patient. We don’t have enough blood in the hospital, so I have the professional duty of donating my
blood.”
Conrad gritted his teeth and remembered someone and something. He gazed at Jason.
“Jason Evans… Whose surname did you follow?”
“Ha.” Jason pulled his chair and sat down as if he was listening to some joke. He even gave the cup of
tea that he brewed a blow.
“Why are you suddenly so interested in me?”
“Is the reason you don’t dare to say it because you have an ulterior motive?!”
The two pairs of eyes glared at each other with hostility.
“Why would I have any ulterior motive? I didn’t steal a single cent from you. I even saved your wife time.

“Do you think I’m a fool?!” Conrad kicked the leg of the table. Jason’s tea was spilled and all the papers. and books on his table got wet.
Jason put down the cup in his hand and slowly cleaned the table.

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
