Chapter 261
“Enough talk. Ask the questions!”
Priscilla took a deep breath. “Fine. Where were you last night at eight–thirty in the evening?”
“At the hospital. I didn’t leave the hospital at all. The doctors and nurses can prove this.”
“Who have you spoken to?”
“Can’t you just check my call history?”
“Of course, we can, but we’re hoping that you will admit to things on your own.”
Fia smiled coldly and answered everything.
Within the one hour of questioning, Fia answered everything she was asked. She didn’t hesitate and didn’t lie. She cooperated fully with her.
After the questioning was done, Priscilla closed her notebook and looked at Fia, confused.
“So, you admit that you hired those criminals?”
“I simply transferred money to them. I didn’t tell them to touch Esme at all.”
“Who can prove this?”
“There’s a record of the conversation on my phone.”
Something appeared in Priscilla’s eyes as she stood up and said, “Fine. I’ll come back once I check the audio recording.”
Fia didn’t say anything. She didn’t know why, but as soon as she knew that the officer was Priscilla Manning, she felt a chill down her spine.
Sometime later, Priscilla came back with Fia’s phone.
“I’ve checked it. There’s no audio recording inside your phone.”
Fia sneered, “Not bad, Officer Manning.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Stop It, She’s Remarrying (Fia and Conrad)
I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
