Sally gulped and wanted to advise Jason to wait when footsteps could be heard.
The nurse who went out just now had come back with hope on her face.
“Doctor Hall, her family has signed the letter!”
Sally let out a sigh of relief and prepared herself. “Everyone, support Doctor Evans!”
“Is… Is she going to be alright?” Conrad stared at the door with his fists tightened.
Eileen looked at him angrily, “You can leave now!”
Conrad frowned. He was not in the mood to fight her.
“Go back to your engagement ceremony! Don’t stay here and disgust Fia!”
Silas quietly walked over and said, “Ms. Reid, my boss promised to get engaged with Ms. Manning out of desperation.”
“Liar!” Eileen glared at Conrad with angry eyes. “Ever since Esme came back, all you’ve wanted to do is divorce Fia! You only made her stay because of the baby! Now that she has been locked up, you can divorce her openly! Everyone out there wouldn’t say that you abandoned your original wife for a homewrecker! They would only think that Fia had committed a crime! Conrad Maxwell, you’re so heartless!”
“No matter what you say, the engagement is just a strategy for me to slow things down.”
“Ha!” Eileen let out a disgusted smile. “You work together with someone else to deal with a woman like her and say that the engagement is for her own good? Who would believe you?!”
Conrad scratched his head and kicked at the wall, irritated.
“I didn’t!”
“You didn’t believe Fia at all! All you do is protect that homewrecker! Lyn, show him the evidence!”
“Sure!” Lyn removed the backpack from her back only to stare at it with eyes wide. “Eileen…”
Eileen could hear something was wrong in her voice and she turned and looked..
A large opening had been cut from the backpack.
She quickly grabbed it and checked.
“Where’re the documents? The evidence?!”

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
