Chapter 279
Sally could see the fear in his eyes and she said to him gently, “Rest for a while. I’ll speak with her family.”
“Sure,” Jason said as he gritted his teeth. He hated Conrad even more than ever.
The surgery theater’s door opened.
“Doctor Hall!” Both Conrad and Eileen walked to her.
Sally gave Conrad a glance and then focused her eyes on Eileen.
“The patient has been saved, but she’ll need to stay in the ICU for the time being. Once her condition. stabilizes, we can then move her to a normal ward.”
Eileen was stunned and asked, “Then, the baby…”
That was also what Conrad wanted to ask about.
“I’m sorry.”
Sally took in a deep breath and remembered the pressure Jason was under during the entire surgery.
“Ms. Reid, since you came to the hospital, you know what was happening at the time..
“With an accident like that, no pregnant woman would be able to protect the baby inside of her. Not to mention that Fia had had multiple signs of placental abruption before this. She was already quite weak.”
She knew that some things could be very cruel, but she had to say it.
Jason started the operation before her family had signed the letter. If the director knew about this, he would be in a lot of trouble. She couldn’t allow him to get into further trouble.
“You lie!” Conrad was stunned for several seconds before grabbing Sally by the collar. “You’re lying! Did Jason Evans ask you to say that?! That’s our first baby! The baby can’t just die like that! Where’s Jason
Evans? I want to see him!”
“What are you doing?!” Eileen screamed as she almost collapsed, her tears streaming down her face.
She lifted her hand and gave Conrad a slap.
“This is all your fault! If you protected her, she wouldn’t have to suffer through all this!”
“I want to see Jason Evans!” Conrad’s eyes were red and so was his face. He looked a lot like an angry
lion.
“You can’t tell her.’
Both Sally and Eileen looked at Conrad in shock. They didn’t understand what he meant by that at that

The readers' comments on the novel: Stop It, She’s Remarrying (Fia and Conrad)
I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
