“There are so many questions now but you still don’t suspect Esme at all?” Eileen looked at Fia who was lying in the ICU ward through the glass. She pitied her.
The person who stole the evidence was dead. No matter how he died, all the stolen evidence was gone.
She felt so useless. She couldn’t do anything for Fia in the end.
“It’s getting late.” Conrad looked at his watch. “I’ll get you some dinner.”
“I don’t have any appetite at a time like this. If Fia wakes up and finds out she’s lost her child, I can’t imagine just how regretful she would feel!”
“Do as you like,” Conrad said before turning to leave.
Eileen was so angry that she questioned him, “You’re leaving so soon?!”
Conrad stared at the woman lying in the ward.
“I still have a lot of things to do.”
“What else is there for you to do? You accompany Esme when she’s in the hospital, but you leave when it’s your wife that’s in there!”
Conrad simply hastened his pace, not wanting to argue with her.
There were things that he needed to deal with before Fia woke up.
The Mannings.
The Mannings greeted Conrad with a smile when they were told of his coming.
Esme’s eyes were full of love as she moved next to him.
“Conrad… I knew you wouldn’t leave me alone.”
However, when her hand was about to touch him, he pushed her away.
“I’m not here for a tea party,” he said with an icy stare fixed on Hank.
Hank frowned as he stopped smiling.
Conrad’s expression became even darker as he gave $llas, who was standing next to him, a nod.
Silas quickly placed the document on the coffee table and said, “Mr. Manning, this is something from Mr. Maxwell.”

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
