“Surprised?” the man said with a faint smile.
Fia hadn’t even managed to react yet when she felt Eileen’s body freeze.
She held Eileen’s hand and said as she steeled her heart, “Long time no see, Victor.”
“Looks like my little cousin’s wife is much more courteous than he ever will be.” Victor Maxwell looked at
her amiably before turning his eyes to Eileen. “I’m leaving, Eileen.”
“Okay.” Eileen lowered her head and dug into her finger.
Fia was very familiar with that action of hers. She would do that every time she was nervous.
She looked at Victor leaving on his Lincoln before holding Eileen’s fingers.
“Stop it. Does it hurt?”
“Fia, I…”
Eileen didn’t know where to start.
While Fia was quite curious, she didn’t ask.
She then told her what she was facing right now.
“My grandma passed away and my mom still doesn’t know about it. My uncles don’t want me to go back either. But my grandma treated my mom and me so well… How can we not see her off one last time?”
Eileen quickly held her arm and said, “Let’s go in and talk more.”
As soon as they got into the mansion, Eileen served Fia some floral tea.
“The weather’s getting warmer. Your body is quite weak and you also have a child. Have a drink and warm yourself up.”
“Okay.”
Eileen also poured a glass for herself. The two of them drank their tea as they sat on the sofa, supporting
each other.

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
