A few seconds of silence later, Fia responded, “It depends.”
“Depends? Depends how?” Sophia had gotten even more curious.
Fia shrugged and gave a bitter smile. “You can talk to Tiger and Silas more. They know a lot more than you. If you ask them, they’ll tell you all about it.”
“I think I’ll pass. All Silas knows is working overtime and pampering his girlfriend. Tiger is a dull, boring man. There’s no way he’d know more than me.” Sophia looked at her in disbelief.
“Oh, you’re quite mistaken. Tiger may look like that but he’s quite knowledgeable and intelligent.”
“Fia, are you thinking of asking Tiger to be your personal bodyguard? You best give up. Sir dislikes seeing you getting too close to other men. This is the main reason he sent me to be by your side!” Sophia then puffed up her chest and said, “Besides, I am not going to give up being your bodyguard without a fight!”
“No one is fighting over this post with you, Sophia. And I like you a lot too.”
Eileen was right. Sophia only listened to her willingly. This would mean that she was not just a bodyguard that Conrad sent to keep an eye on her.
“Madam!” Sophia stared at Fia excitedly.
Fia responded with a smile, “What’s wrong? You look so excited all a sudden.”
“Did I hear it right? You said you like me.”
“Yes, you heard it right. I like you a lot.” Fia held the girl’s face and tapped it lightly. “You have a good temper and a lovely face. On top of that, you’re very kind-hearted. I bet everyone will like you if given the chance to get to know you.”
“I don’t need other people to like me. I’m really glad that you like me, Madam!” Sophia said earnestly, “I know I’m just another one of Sir’s employees. But I’ve made up my mind to protect you with my whole being, even if it means defying his wishes.”
“…”
Fia looked at her for a while before saying, “If you don’t follow his orders, you’ll be punished. Aren’t you scared?”
Sophia shook her head. “I’m not scared. If my carelessness caused harm to you, then I’ll gladly accept the punishment.”
“Sophia…actually I…” Fia was feeling bad keeping it from Sophia. She had other plans for the girl.
It was then that Eileen walked out of the bakery and waved at them warmly. “Hey! Fia! Sophia!”
“Hey, Ms. Reid!”

The readers' comments on the novel: Stop It, She’s Remarrying (Fia and Conrad)
I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
