Chapter 549 Ace in His Hold

August smiled as if he had expected her to say so. He then asked Zane to move all the food to the table on the hospital bed.

Lucia stuffed a dumpling entirely into her mouth and closed her eyes in enjoyment. Suddenly, she found the man staring at her.

She felt embarrassed, and, turning to him, babbled with all the food in her mouth. "What are you looking at..." August couldn't help chuckling, and he said leisurely, "You're really the same as before."

Lucia had been like this in the past. In front of delicacies, she would turn into a glutton, who would gulp down all the dishes without caring about table manners. Her way of enjoying food could even stimulate other's appetite.

Hearing his words, Lucia was stunned and soon realized what he meant.

He should be referring to the Lucia five years ago.

The past lured all the memories and relations out of Lucia's memories, which struck Lucia silent.

At this moment, the door of the ward was pushed open. Zane, furrowing, walked in with a serious look. "President Adams, bad news."

His words made the atmosphere oppressive.

August immediately turned serious. "What is it?"

"We have completed routines with the shares. But there is one thing. Bishop Adams still holds some shares." August frowned. "Why?"

"His share originally belonged to a former shareholder, Karl Shaw. After Karl had the accident... which you must be aware of..."

August nodded. He soon understood what had happened.

When Bishop had signed the share transfer, all his properties had been under August's name, which included both his original holding and those taken from August. However, Karl's shares were left out.

In other word, after Karl's death from accident, his properties weren't inherited in time. Or, some people deliberately delayed the inheritance procedures.

Therefore, when Bishop signed, his then share was transferred. However, Karl's shares weren't yet belonged to him legally, which meant that, after he officially owned Karl's share, he was still a shareholder of Lion Group.

It turned out that Bishop kept an ace in his hold.

Did it mean that he had already foreseen August's intention?

His shrewdness could really give a profound fear.

Without hearing a response from August, Zane asked, "What should we do? Karl's shares are no big fish, but they are either tinny enough to be ignored. We can't take that share back now."

August pressed his lips as he pondered. His lips had turned somewhat pale. After a while, he said idly, "Ignore it. His share can't turn the tide."

Zane said abruptly, "What if he adds Old Mr. Adams's share to his pocket?"

His words hit the nail on the head.

August knitted his brows and thought to himself.

Speaking of Eliot, Eliot had gone missing for a while. August had asked his men in Amecan to find his father, but there was no progress.

If that was the case, Eliot must have been hidden by someone. Otherwise, he couldn't possibly just vanish.

"Send more men. Find him."

To the best of August's knowledge, Bishop would attain whatever he wanted by any means. He might even slay his father.
