Chapter 563 Stay Here Tonight

Thousands of possibilities flashed through Lucia's mind, but she couldn't pick a suitable solution. She felt sad to see these homeless children heading to another unknown place.

Finally, she made up her mind, looked up at Zane, and said in a firm voice, "I'll go talk to August again."

Coming out of Sunshine Plant, she went to the car. Then she knocked on the backseat window. Soon the window rolled down from the inside. August looked at her indifferently without expression, waiting for her to speak first.

Lucia clenched her fist slightly and said, "Can you think of a way to help those children?"

At that, August narrowed his eyes. Soon, he asked, "Tell me, how can I help them?"

Lucia said in a serious manner, "First try to find their parents. If they are orphans, it's not too late to consider sending them to a welfare house."

August tightened his lips and asked, "How many children are there now?"

Lucia bit her lips and said, "More than twenty. "

August asked calmly, "Have you ever thought about how much it would cost to help these twenty children?" His simple sentence made

Lucia unable to say a word.

August stared at her slightly pale face and said in a calm voice, "I'm not a charity. I can only save them from those people and then report this to the welfare house. That's all the charity I can do."

His words struck Lucia's heart one by one. She opened her mouth like a dying fish. Her throat was dry but she couldn't make a sound. She had nothing to say, and no reason to put moral blackmail on him to help these children. But, in her heart, she was more or less disappointed in August.

At this point, August's cell phone suddenly rang. He calmly withdrew his gaze, swept the phone screen, pressed the answer, and said,

"Hello."

When he heard the caller's words, his tightened eyebrows loosened slightly. Afterwards, he said calmly, "Okay, bring him back." Saying that, he hung up the phone. Turning toward Lucia, he said softly, "Garnett has been found. He is fine. Kylan will bring him here later."

Lucia's eyes widened with surprise. She breathed a sigh of relief and nodded unconsciously, muttering, "That's good..."

At least, there was no the worst result. But She frowned. Thinking of the more than twenty children inside Sunshine Plant, she didn't know what to do. She turned her head towards the other side and happened to see a few children hiding in the doorway, looking at her from afar. Two children even smiled at her and waved.

Lucia's heart warmed for a moment. She was even more determined to help them. Then she slowly clenched her fist and suddenly looked at Zane, saying softly, "Zane, there is something I need your help, please tonight..." After instructing everything, she went back to the cat.

August stared at her doubtfully and meaningfully from the beginning to the end. He raised his eyebrows slightly and asked, "Are you really going to help them?"

Lucia gathered the things in her bag and said without looking up, "Have you ever heard of it? Help people and insist on helping them." After saying this, she was reluctant to say anything more. August naturally understood what she meant. He frowned, and then did not want to say anything else. They drove away and met up with Kylan and the others at a junction. As it turned out, Garnett was with them.

But he was in low spirits, probably because of the fright.
