Chapter 625 Betrayed by the Most Trusted Person

"What are you doing? Kidnapping?" Lucia looked at them warily, trying to break free, but got flung to the seat.

The car door was slammed shut. Before she could do something, the door on the other side was opened. Bishop sat directly next to her and raised his chin as a signal for the driver to lock the door.

Fuming with rage, Lucia looked up at him and snapped, "What do you want?"

Unperturbed, Bishop smirked at her. "Do you have to be so aggressive? In my car, do you think anyone can save you if I do something?"

She made out the threat in his tone, and her heart sank. She sullenly stared at the man. His smile was cold and sinister. This man was a viper, hiding a dagger behind his smile. He was ferocious and bloodthirsty

She involuntarily clutched her clothes, looked out of the window, and said with feigned composure, "Paul has gone to seek help. If he finds me gone, he will definitely call the police.

Do you think you can get away if you do anything to me?"

She thought that Bishop would be daunted by her words. Unexpectedly, he looked at her in a funny way and laughed out loud. His laughter was maniacal. Lucia frowned at him in a

way as if he was a psycho. He slowly stopped laughing and looked at her with an unfathomable meaning in his eyes.

Shaking his head, he chuckled, "You're so naïve. I suddenly don't have the heart to tell you the truth. August and Paul seem to have protected you very well."

His sarcastic tone made her uncomfortable. She furrowed her brows and looked fixedly at him. "What do you mean?"

Bishop smiled, "Nothing, I'm just wondering if all men like women as silly as you."

Lucia clenched her fists, itching to punch him in the face. She took a deep breath to fight back her anger,

"I don't have time for this. Let me go if you're reluctant to tell. If you refuse, I'll call the police." With that, she took out her phone and entered 911.

Bishop's face fell. Before she could tap the call button, he said, "It's ridiculous to take a traitor for your most trusted person."

Lucia froze and looked up at him. Bishop snorted, "Didn't you say that Paul went to call for help? How come he still hasn't appeared?"

His words dampened her spirits. Something immediately dawned on her. By rights, Paul should have come with the security guards, but the gate remained empty. Not a soul could be

seen. Her heart sank and hurt.

She took a deep breath, trying to defend Paul, but Bishop continued, "I'll answer that for you. He doesn't show up not because he is caught in something. He just can't appear before

Without waiting for her response, he sneered, "You know him well, but he did a lot of things behind your back. How do you feel about that? Scary?"

"Don't you try to sow discord between us!" she spat, glaring at him. Her tone was firm, but there was a quiver in her voice. The uneasy feeling was inexplicable.

Bishop observed her expression and chuckled, "Mandy had a sudden hemorrhage. How did I find out? I wouldn't have known it if someone hadn't worked with me from the inside." "You mean Paul helped you?" Lucia sneered. Bishop shrugged with a smile. Silence was acquiescence.

Lucia shook her head, refusing to believe it. "How is it possible? He has no reason to help you harm Mandy."

Bishop smiled, "Because I have something on him. To make me keep the secret, he had to agree."

Lucia Laughed coldly, "That's ridiculous!"

Not annoyed at all, Bishop said unhurriedly, "Let me ask you, what's the thing that makes you feel guilty lately? Is it the death of the abbot of the Evergreen Meditation Yard?" His words pricked a soft spot. Lucia shook and felt cold. Her heart was filled with hatred and apprehension, but she lost her tongue. Her anger was beyond words, especially when the

matter was mentioned by this man. If she were not in an unfavorable situation, she would have fought him. Seeing her ashen face, Bishop curled his lips in satisfaction.

"You know that I killed the abbot, but I assume you don't know that Paul was also part of it."

"That's impossible. I don't believe you" Lucia shook her head, not believing it at all. There was no way Paul had been involved.

Bishop laughed, "That's why I called you have."

"The traitor you found is just a scapegoat. In fact, Paul was the one who told me about your visit to Evergreen Mountain."
