Chapter 892 The Man I Mentioned to You
Tina's eyes flickered. She walked over with steady steps. All her attention was on Marlena the entire time. She occasionally glanced at August in a way as if she was trying to pry into something. She sat down, greeted them, and fell silent.
Marlena held onto her mother's arm and chattered, "Mom, this is Joe, the man
I mentioned to you."
Tina smiled, but her eyes remained empty. We've met in the garden this afternoon."
"That's wonderful, Mom.
Terry interposed, "Tina, Marlena.”
Their attention was caught. He raised his glass that was filled with wine and shook it.
"Starting today, Joe will take over part of my work."
He stressed his tone for the ending part and overserved Tina's expression. Her eyelids drooped when she heard that. She knew what Terry meant. Joe wasn't an employee of Terry's company. The work he handed over to Joe should be part of his shady business. Over the years, she had interfered with his illegal business. Whenever she struck, there were few survivors. If Joe was in charge, she would find it hard to intervene. Her eyelids twitched, but her attitude was nonchalant.
