Chapter 921 These Mischievous Children
The plane took off quickly and disappeared like a bird into the blue sky. A tall man appeared at the airport, and he looked a bit disappointed when seeing the plane fly away. Then he took out his phone and made a call. "Amy, get me a jet to Austos City."
They took a direct flight, so Lucia and Daryl were fast asleep when they got on the plane. They both were exhausted. Lucia woke up after five hours and saw Ryan leaning at the window and looking at the thick clouds. "Ryan, would you like to have a rest?" Lucia asked him. Ryan shook his head, and looked so excited. Lucia suddenly understood it. It was because Ryan had never left the Smith Manor before. And it seemed to be the first time that he had got a chance to see the outside world.
"What...are...we taking...?" Looking up at Lucia, Ryan asked her awkwardly after looking at the clouds for a while. Lucia replied patiently, "It's called an airplane which is fast. We can fly over the world by it in a short time." Ryan nodded seriously and was being so excited, "I once saw it fly...over the manor. I thought.Jt was a bird. Now...l know it’s called an airplane." Ryan was saying intermittently, while Lucia felt so sorry to hear it.
Ryan is not mentally or intellectually flawed, but no one in the Smith Manor had never treated him as a real human being. What’s more, none of them had talked to him or taught him any common rules. Lucia got to know that Marlena had always been treating Ryan like a dog when she had to hide herself in the kennel with him.
Ryan had a rest for a while, and then continued to say, "Now...we’re... on an airplane..." Lucia gently pulled Ryan into her arms as she said to him, "Ryan, you can take an airplane like whenever you want." After a while, the airplane finally landed in Austos City.
Their plan failed this time, which was really unexpected. So, Lucia didn't have time to contact Flynt and the kids. When they walked out of the airport, Lucia called a cab and gave the address of her house to the driver. Sitting in the car, Daryl looked at the busy streets through the window, and then sighed, "It's been years, and I’ve finally come back..." She got to know Paul two years ago, which had entirely changed her life.
Daryl got a so different feeling when she came back to this place which once brought her sadness. It was a mixed feeling, bitter and complicated. However, everything which had happened earlier seemed to have gone at this moment.
