The alcohol consumed throughout the night was regurgitated onto the man without

any reservation before it could entirely be digested by gastric acid.

The scene could be justifiably described as horrifying.

Though not a clean freak, Lucas was definitely not pleased when anyone vomited on

him.

After finishing the vomiting, Pearl even pulled Lucas‘ tie to wipe her mouth and let

out a burp. “Sorry, I couldn’t help it.”

Despite saying sorry, she showed no sign of sorry in her behavior.

Lucas‘ temples bulged with veins. His charming eyes were now as cold as knives. He

locked his eyes onto Pearl fixedly.

“This woman is truly beautiful, with tanned and translucent skin. Her lips, like rose

petals, are pursed into a thin line. Her small face is bright and clear. However, her demeanor does not resemble that of a woman working in a nightclub. Instead, she looks like a rich lady,” said Lucas inwardly.

Beauty always made people soft. Lucas let out a sigh as he gradually extinguished the anger rising inside.

Hubert quickly stepped forward to carry Pearl back and apologized to Lucas, who was covered in puke. “I am sorry, sir. My sister is drunken,” he explained.

As the elevator door opened, Pearl was supported by Hubert to step out. With an air of confidence, Hubert turned his head and said, “Take your clothes off. I’ll pay for it!”

He squinted his eyes and realized that the room was the residence of the owner of

the Beverland Hotel. “It seems that the young man is the seventh son of the Law

“I haven’t heard that the Law family has a daughter,” he said inwardly.

The study was quiet, with Marc concentrating on his work. Only the sound of turning

pages could be heard in the serene room.

The impact caused by the post was even more intricate than he had anticipated.

The announcement of the marriage news affected the brand directly, and the “One Life, One Heart” jewelry collection under Males Group had been boycotted by netizens. The solution proposed by the public relations department was either to postpone the wedding date and wait for this wave to pass before making further decisions or to continue promoting the love story between him and Clarissa,

creating a “long–lasting devotion and unwavering love” storyline. It would be even

better if they could persuade his ex–wife to publicly acknowledge that she was

indeed the home wrecker who intruded into the relationship.

Marc knitted his brows tightly as he intensely disliked mixing business and personal matters and had no intention of collaborating with the public relations department for publicity purposes. “Do they think I am some kind of D–list celebrity?” he said inwardly.
