“It is good we get to it on time so that you can take care of the enemy before he Strikes Again, this time he might be brutal and I don't want you to get hurt. I'm glad your parents are alright too”

“ it is not my parents that I'm worried about”

“Who are you worried about them?”

“ you”

she blinked her eyes, uncertain why he was worried about her when she wasn't even worried about herself. she doubted that the enemy would get to come to Garden City and find her, but then, this was someone that Shawn knew nothing about and so he was capable of anything. She only has to be careful.

“ you don't have to worry about me and just go, I can take care of myself”

“ I don't doubt that you can always take care of yourself but I can't leave you here alone, I don’t think you even know the enemy and besides, I don't know why you don't want to come with me”

she stares into his eyes and he looks at her, he can tell that she has something she wants to say but is restraining herself from saying it. he always wanted her to be fair and open with him, but Hannah seems to not be open tonight to tell him all about our worries.

“ tell me the truth, that is the only way that I can let you stay, I really want to know why you don't want to go with me”

“Are you sure you want to hear it?”

“ yes, I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to, whatever it is, I can hear it, you only just have to tell me”

She exhaled, aware that she had to voice her concerns once and for all, or else he would persist, and they might end up arguing again that night. Shawn was a good man and while nothing was happening between them at the moment, he was still one of her favorite people and she was glad that he was there with her.

“ come on, tell me I won't judge you or say anything, I just want to know your concerns and what it is that is troubling you, I know that you will not have said all those things without giving it a second thought, I have nothing anything in mind, I want to know what it is”
