Surviving the Apocalypse with my Multiplier System novel Chapter 281

A few minutes later, the door opened and a beautiful black haired woman walked in. She wore a black strapless dress that hugged her body and showed off her long, slender legs through the high cut slits.

"Hello beauties! My name is Talia, but you can call me senior sister since I used to be one of you at one point!" Her voice was melodic and soothing, causing the others to look up at her with awe.

"Today, I'm going to teach you the basics of how to be desired. While these are the basics, having a solid understanding will help you understand more about your personal strengths."

She looked around the room. "Each and every one of you has your own kind of charm. If you can learn how to hone in on that charm, you can climb to the top, like me."

Swaying her hips, she walked around the room. The way she walked caused everyone to subconsciously follow the curves of her body.

"See? Such a short walk, but I made you all notice the curvature of my hips. I will teach each of you ladies how to make the most of your own gifts."

Barracks.

Morning of the third day since arriving.

"Wake up, rats!"

The voice of a burly man who went by the name Instructor J stormed into the room.

Julian quickly sat up in bed, looking around the room. On the bunk beside him, Lyle also sat up and frowned.

"Looks like it's finally training day," he whispered to Julian.

Instructor J took a step forward, looking at everyone's weak and sleepy faces. For the last two days, all of the able-bodied men were sent to this room and denied food.

The originally empty beds were now filled with new blood, ready to be broken in to fill their ranks.

"If you sissy's don't get out of bed by the time I've finished counting, I'm sending you to feed the dogs!" yelled the instructor once more.

Julian and the rest of the men jumped out of bed and stood in front of their bunks with their shoulders back and chests out.

"Good, now listen up! Today, you will all begin to prove your worth...and boy do I hate unworthy scum! Everyone follow me!"

Lyle gave Julian a short nod, telling him to follow behind the instructor. They were led down another flight of stairs and into a very large room that was made into a gymnasium.

"Now, everyone, start running laps. Don't stop until I tell you!" he shouted and stood to the side.

Lyle led the group with Julian, breaking out into a short jog around the room. He set a basic pace, trying to conserve as much energy as possible.

At first, everyone was able to keep up at a good pace, but after about a dozen laps, a few of the men began to slow down.

Hunger and lack of energy began to set in, making it difficult to keep running. Labored breathing could be heard echoing through the room.

"Keep it up! I don't want to see anyone falling behind so soon!" Instructor J yelled.

Julian continued to run at the front with Lyle, keeping up with the pace. While he had also felt the slight lack of energy from not eating for two days, his muscles were well developed, so jogging wasn't too strenuous.

After a few more laps, exhaustion began to settle in and many of the other began to really struggle.

"Alright, pansies. To make things more interesting, the first three people to finish 3 laps will be given dinner today!"

The instructor's words ignited a fire even in the weakest of the group. Everyone immediately picked up their pace, sprinting as fast as they could.
