Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1135

Andre leaned back in his chair, looking relaxed, and said, "Looks like the Dark Web wants to take me on."

The more laid-back Andre seemed, the more tense Noah became. "Boss, wouldn't just firing him tip them off?"

Andre's smile was icy. "Firing him? No, we'll make it so he can't ever show his face again."

Noah was confused. "Boss?"

That afternoon, Leo was checking out the latest buzz in the tech world. Greg, who had snagged second place in the national computing competition, had been arrested for illegally hacking into government departments and leaking sensitive data overseas, putting national security at risk...

Leo clasped his hands, staring at the news, baffled as to why his uncle would do such a thing.

At Cedillo Inc., Andre instructed, "Keep tabs on anyone who reaches out to Greg."

"Boss, do you think the Dark Web will try to spring him?"

Andre glanced disdainfully at the computer screen showing Greg's arrest. "Nurturing talent isn't easy; the Dark Web won't just let him go."

Noah nodded. "Understood, boss."

Before he left, Andre added, "Do a thorough check on all the employees in the headquarters' tech departments."

"Got it."

After Noah left, Andre picked up his phone to call Conner.

"What's going on?" Conner answered, sounding a bit impatient. He hadn't had the chance to go out with Annie in a while and was feeling the frustration.

"Take a half-hour nap. I'll keep an eye on the time and wake you up."

Mia silently cursed Andre a thousand times, unable to keep her eyes open, and laid her head on the desk. "Jamie, wake me up in half an hour."

Jamie started the timer. This time, without Denny around to sidetrack her, Jamie was fully focused. Mia had been bogged down with personal stuff for the first half of the year, but now that the busiest period was over, she could finally concentrate on her studies. Still, she had a husband who was a handful and a son going through his mischievous years.

It felt like she had just closed her eyes when Jamie shook her awake. "Mia, time to hit the books." She pushed a cup of tea towards Mia. "While you were napping, I made you some tea to help you wake up."

"Thanks, Jamie." Refreshed from her nap and energized by the tea, Mia felt much more awake, keeping at it until noon.

Andre arrived with takeout, the busy CEO, carrying his mischievous little rascal to bring lunch to the two people he loved most. Henry snuck bites from his mom's lunch and then planted kisses on her cheeks. His bare feet padded back and forth in his dad's car.
