Mia shook her head with a smirk, "Nah, he never tells me anything. It wasn't just some fancy party I was at overseas; I actually rescued someone from a hitman linked to the Dark Web. Pretty impressive, huh?" She beamed, "Saving a life is like a big deal. I must be on my way to sainthood."
Leo caught on quickly, realizing why she'd wanted to video call that night. His mind raced, "Was that hitman connected to The Silent Ring?"
Molly shot a curious glance at Mia, who shook her head again, "Not just connected—he was actually from The Silent Ring."
Leo frowned, puzzled, "Who could that be? Why would someone from The Silent Ring get tangled up with the Dark Web?"
"Is the Dark Web going head-to-head with my uncle now?" Leo wondered aloud.
Mia explained, "It was the guy codenamed 'Venom'. Remember? He was paired against me, and I ended up taking him down."
The trio sat casually in the living room, discussing these intense topics like they were chatting about the weather.
"My buddy Andre isn't a hitman for The Silent Ring, is he, Mia? Let me introduce you. Discovering something this big should at least earn you some kind of honorary membership," one of them suggested.
Mia pouted playfully, "I wish! But I doubt your Andre has much pull with The Silent Ring's boss. After all, they're never short on Black Pass holders. So, let's just call this a small win."
Leo rolled his eyes, "Guys, The Silent Ring isn’t our main concern; it’s the Dark Web."
Meanwhile, at the dining table, another group was gathered. Anya was juggling her kids, totally confused. "What’s The Silent Ring? Who’s Auntie? What’s the Dark Web?"
Henry got bored and wandered off to play.
Wayne was ready for bed, yawning and snuggling down for the night.
Mia continued, "Oh, and I saved this guy too. My husband said he's now running his family."
