Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1170

Maja had just heard the news—Conner had flipped Newtown on its head overnight, all thanks to his buddy's influence. Even though Emmery had the numbers, going head-to-head with Conner would just mean a messy end for both sides. But with his friend's backing, even the combined forces of the Nettleton family couldn't change a thing.

"Tell my sister that only one of them—her or Conner—will make it out alive."

After hanging up, Maja gripped the ring in her hand, the one with Emmery's name engraved on it. The ring with her name? Buried with Emmery. "Annie, you can't fall for him."

"The Martin sisters' love lives are something else. One's in love with the fallen Emmery, the other's smitten with the triumphant Conner," said a familiar voice. A man sat across from Maja, pouring her some tea. "Ms. Maja, behind the Nettleton family and Asher, there's another player. Any guesses?"

"If he's tied to Wei's death, he's my enemy. If not, I have no beef with him," Maja replied.

The man finished pouring the tea and set the pot down with a deliberate pause, "River, Dust, Sovereign!" he said, his words punctuating the clink of the teapot on the table.

Maja frowned but then shrugged it off, "Alright, looks like I've got another target. Kon."

The man chuckled, "Did you know? Asher and Conner have already replenished the hundred crates they used to get their start. Cost them a fortune, but the goods you have aren't as crucial to me anymore."

Maja caught his drift immediately—he planned on going after the people the three men loved. She didn't care about most of them, but Conner's loved one...

With lightning speed, Maja snatched the handgun from the table, aiming it right at Kon's forehead. She glared, her voice steely, "You can mess with anyone else, but if you lay a finger on my sister, I'll make sure the Dark Web pays dearly!"

Kon's smile slipped away as he grasped the gun barrel, slowly lowering it. "Still a protective sister, I see."
