Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1177

Mr. Calder was starting to worry that the age gap between him and his son might lead to a disconnect in the future. So, he's been diving into the world of the younger generation, trying to keep up with all the latest trends and happenings.

Over at Chade Inc., Molly ducked into the stairwell to call her husband, "Chad," she said.

Chad could immediately pick up on her concern. "Don't stress, someone’s just trying to stir the pot and target Andre. Once we get to the bottom of it, it'll blow over."

Molly sighed, feeling a bit down. "But this could really shake up Andre's company, and honestly, with where I'm at now, I don't even know how to help him." She realized that while she could handle day-to-day stuff just fine, a big crisis like this made her feel small and helpless.

In the library, Mia was glued to the news, and Jamie didn't dare interrupt her.

Finally, Mia’s phone buzzed, and she picked it up in a flash. "Hey, babe," she answered.

Andre was standing by the window, hands jammed into his pockets. Hearing his wife's voice instantly soothed his nerves. "You’ve seen the news, right?"

Mia got up and walked outside, not even caring about the blazing sun for once. "With your name splashed everywhere? Of course, I've seen it."

"Are you worried your hubby's gonna go bankrupt?"

"If it happens, it happens. Even if you're not the CEO of the Cedillo Group anymore, you’re still the awesome son-in-law of the Irvin family," Mia teased. She was never one to chase after money or power. Sure, she liked to get nice things from time to time, but only to add a little fun to life.

Andre chuckled, "If I go broke, I won’t be able to spoil my little money-lover anymore."

Mia laughed, "Then your money-loving wife will just have to spoil you for a change. No biggie."

Mia looked up at the sun, her smile warm and bright. "That's okay, though I do feel a bit sorry for our boy."

After cheering up his wife, Andre felt a lot calmer, and Mia headed back to her classes.

Jamie was still worried about Mia. "Alright, phones away. Our job now is to hit the books."

Molly also threw herself into her work, coming to terms with how small she felt. If her family were to suddenly face a crisis, she'd just panic without any clue how to help. She realized she needed to grow stronger, so she could be the rock her family could rely on through any storm.

Leo had tracked down a few leads and shot them straight to his uncle.

Andre's phone buzzed. It had been over a year since he and his nephew had messaged each other. This time, Leo sent, "Hey Uncle, about those foreign sites…"
