Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 468

Mia assuredly said, “No way. Molly’s feelings haven’t quite reached that level yet. At most, she’s emotionally invested without realizing it, or she’s slightly aware. She and Chad are just exploring their feelings for each other.”

Leo asked, “But Chad likes my aunt, right? He must’ve sensed that she’s into him. Why is he acting as if nothing happened?”

Mia speculated, “Perhaps they’re not ready to confront their feelings yet. They just want to keep things as they are for now.”

Leo said bluntly, “So, they’re just flirting, huh?”

Mia nodded in agreement, “Your Aunt Molly does seem to enjoy that kind of thing. Plus, Chad surely has his own reasons. The Byrnes are one obstacle, and our old man is another.”

“True,” Leo mused. “If Chad were to confess his feelings, he wouldn’t be able to explain it to his family, nor could he freely interact with my aunt. Our family probably wouldn’t allow Molly to stay with the Byrnes anymore.”

Mia reclined on her deck chair, with eyes closed, relaxed. “We can just sit back and watch how things unfold. Molly, being pursued by Chad, can’t escape this.”

“Why are you so certain?”

“The intuition of a married woman,” Mia responded with a smirk.

As they were chatting, Anya approached from behind, “Auntie, Leo, what are you guys talking about?”

Leo turned around, “Adult stuff, kiddo. You shouldn’t be too curious.”

Mia laughed and opened her eyes to look at Leo. “Oh, look at my Leo, already considering himself an adult.”

Leo retorted, “You’re about to be a mom. Aren’t you an adult?”

After saying that, he left the backyard and headed back to the cool indoors.

Mia gestured to the empty chair beside her, “Anya, come, sit. Let’s chat.”

In a while, Molly who was being pursued by the police officer Chad also joined them in the backyard. She looked at Mia basking in the sun. “Mia, do you think you’re too pale and need some sun to balance your skin tone?”

Mia teased, “You’re not a mom yet. I’ll forgive your ignorance.”

After another five minutes, Mia got up with Anya’s help and went back to the living room.

Andre received a call from Noah, updating him about Anya’s prospective housing.

Naomi curiously inquired, “Why does Anya want to move out?”

Caught off guard by the simple question, Anya struggled with how to respond. Should she talk about the fight, which wouldn’t make a good impression? Or should she make up a story, but what would she say?

Seeing Anya’s dilemma, Mia casually suggested, “Living in a small dorm with so many people, there’s no privacy. Since we have the money, why not let her move out?”

Anya shot Mia a grateful look.

After hanging up the phone, Andre asked Anya, “Anya, how about a two-bedroom house, a 20-minute walk from Havenbrook University?”

Before Anya could respond, Leo, who was lounging on the couch, interjected, “Isn’t a two-bedroom too small? It won’t be safe for her to live alone. We should hire a housekeeper, and she’ll need a study room. At least a three-bedroom house would be better.”

After making his point, Leo sat next to Andre. His curiosity was aroused. “Andre, which neighborhood is the house in? A 20-minute walk seems far. I should check it out too. Some neighborhoods can be a bit chaotic nowadays, with many juniors and seniors moving out to rent houses as they prepare for postgraduate studies. It might not be safe for a girl to live alone. Upscale neighborhoods would be comparatively safer.”
