Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 550

In the president's office of Cedillo Inc., Andre's phone buzzed with an incoming call.

The caller ID revealed it was Mia, who had been cursing him out just last night while under his weight. With a smirk, Andre answered, "Hello, Mia."

"Is this Andre? This is the police department. Your wife, your son, your sister, and your nephew are all involved in a brawl and are currently in custody. Could you come down here, please?"

Andre's smile faded. "What about Chad?"

"Oh, Officer Chad is already here. He’s the one who asked us to contact you."

Chad knew. There was only one man who could tame these three little devils!

Half an hour later, Andre arrived at the familiar scene. There they were, sitting on the chairs to the side.

Mia and Molly avoided eye contact, guilt written all over their faces. Mia was cradling a little cherub in her arms, whose bright eyes blinked obliviously, snug against his mother. Only Leo seemed unfazed, casually swinging his car keys, waiting for the cavalry to arrive.

Chad sat across from Molly, silent as a stone. Every so often, Molly would sneak a glance at Chad and mutter under her breath, "Chad, say something, will ya? Your silence is freaking me out."

Chad slammed his hand on the desk, causing Molly to jump. "I thought you were fearless. Why go looking for trouble? What if you had actually burnt her alive?"

Jade whispered back, "I couldn’t let it go. I was slighted."

The little one in Mia’s arms startled at the noise, then started bawling his eyes out in the middle of the precinct.

Andre approached, and Mia shifted away on the bench towards Molly. "Honey, keep your distance, I’m scared of you~"

Andre retorted, "Scared of me after taking our son to a fight? Really?"

Mia pursed her lips, glancing at the little guy in her arms, feeling guilty. "I didn’t take him; he insisted on following me."

Andre, stone-faced, pulled up a chair opposite his wife, while Mia sat up straight as a rod, tensed. His gaze fixed on the top of his little wife’s head, Andre asked Chad, "What’s the story this time?"

Chad, visibly angry, explained, "They were planning to set Vivian on fire. Now, Vivian’s in the hospital getting a medical examination for her injuries."

Molly reminded him softly, "It’s not three, it’s four. Henry counts as a person, too."

Andre glanced at the teary little tyke in his wife’s arms and remained silent, while Chad took a deep breath to calm down.

Eventually, the instigator had to come clean, with Molly offering a condensed version, "I came by the station this morning to see my Chad and couldn’t find him. Just so happened, I heard the Vivian case was going nowhere, it was almost shelved, and I got pissed. When I’m angry, I need to vent. So, I went to her house to settle scores, and lo and behold, she was packing to leave."

Vivian was dead set against marrying that good-for-nothing Dave, despite Coleen stirring the pot with Juliana. Vivian was sure she could persuade Juliana to drop the idea, but she had underestimated Coleen’s influence. Manipulating Juliana was child's play for Coleen. Even Grandma Aubree and Grandpa Elmer were on Coleen's side. Whatever love potion Coleen brewed for Juliana, it worked; Juliana was on the phone, demanding Vivian come home like her life depended on it.

Vivian knew if she didn't break free from her burdensome family, her life would be in constant turmoil. After much thought, she decided to leave secretly, not giving Juliana the chance to drag her back.

Now that her presence in the Byrne family was no longer needed, Vivian had hoped to catch Chad at home for a chance to escape. Instead, he was living out, cozying up with Molly. She tried to gain favors from Coleen, to network with high society, but Coleen was as unyielding as a rock.
