As the Byrne family gathered for a group photo, Molly suddenly felt a wave of emotion hit her hard. Turning away, Mia stayed by her side, offering comforting words for what seemed like forever.
“Molly, do you believe that our mom has become the sunshine, watching over you right now?” Mia whispered gently, her voice a soothing balm for Molly's sorrow.
Hansen, understanding his daughter's grief, stood up and said softly but firmly, “Come on, let's go light a candle for your mom.”
The Byrne household was buzzing with excitement, and only on the big day did Coleen and Kendrick truly realize the joy of welcoming a daughter-in-law.
“Look at your family, taking in a girl halfway through her life and raising her as your own. Now, she's about to become your daughter-in-law. That's a real blessing,” someone remarked.
Coleen, laughing, playfully complained, “You all know how much of a handful my girl can be. She's been your headache since she was little.”
“What's there to worry about? After the wedding, it's Chad's turn to deal with our Molly. You can wash your hands of it,” they teased.
Coleen nodded with a smile. “You're right, but Chad has a knack for handling Molly.”
While the Byrnes were filled with joy, the Cedillos were soaked in sorrow. The bride was in tears, “Andre, you're the strongest. Can't you just stop me from getting married?”
Andre was speechless.
Waking up, little Henry looked at his aunt, who seemed to be stealing his title of 'Crybaby,' completely baffled. What's going on? Is there a competition for this now?
Mia tried to comfort her sister, “Stop crying, Molly. You're even stealing the spotlight from my son. Usually, he'd be the one crying at this time, but today, you've outdone him.”
Molly looked at her confused nephew. “Henry, how about you marry into the Byrne family with your aunt?”
Henry turned his face away, clearly not interested.
Early in the morning, the wedding procession of cars lined up outside the Cedillo residence was a sight to behold.
Chad, as promised, arrived dressed in Molly's favorite style, bouquet in hand, a beacon of happiness as he approached the Cedillo home.
Upon entering, Leo, the eldest nephew, was handed a generous gift.
Swinging the gift, Leo mused, “Never thought I'd receive a wedding gift from Jade, and as a nephew, no less.”
Soon, Leo received another gift, this one meant for Anya to be kept safe.
Henry found himself in a peculiar situation, blocking the bedroom door with a basin. No gift, no entry!
The ceremony master quickly intervened, “A child in the basin signifies prosperity and blessings for the next year. As the uncle, it's time to give a gift.”
Chad bent down, lifting the little one from the basin and tucking a generous gift into his embrace.
Andre, swept up in the moment, couldn't help but think his son was too adorable, stealing the show. Deciding it was best, he carried him away.
In the bridal room, Molly was frantically hiding her wedding shoes. “What should I do? Where should I hide them?”
Stephania suggested, “Hide them in the bathroom.”
Molly immediately dismissed the idea, “No way, have you forgotten what the groom and his groomsmen do for a living? Hiding something right under the noses of cops seems a bit misguided.”
The room was bustling with Mia, Naomi, and several of Molly's distant cousins, all gathered, some with children in tow, including Minnie and the photographer from the day before.
“How about this, hide the shoes under Molly,” one cousin suggested.
Molly retorted, “Either the shoes get ruined today, or I do.”
Then, the ever-so-sweet yet clueless Anya had a bright idea, “Auntie, just throw your wedding shoes out the window. Uncle will never find them.”
Jade chimed in, “Sweetheart, your aunt still wants to get married today.”
Throwing the shoes out would mean searching for them all day.
Anya's innocence brought laughter to the room, her naivety endearing to everyone.
Finding a hiding spot proved challenging, especially with a wedding to a cop.
