Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 737

Harrison had a mischievous idea, "Just stay put and see if Leo tries to kick you out at night."

Anya looked down, her voice barely a whisper, "I already told him."

Naomi quickly jumped in, "And what did Leo say?"

Anya looked even more upset, "Chad said he was going to call my dad and tell him I stayed overnight at a hotel with a guy." If Mr. Calder found out, Anya was definitely in for a scolding. Poor Anya could only sit next to Leo, watching him study while she nibbled on snacks.

Lately, Anya felt like she hadn't been eating much, yet somehow, she had gained weight.

Naomi was fuming, "That damn kid!"

Everyone had given up on Leo, except for Anya, who still clung onto hope for Chad.

The next day, when she got a call to return to the hotel, Anya couldn't help but go. When she saw a plate of fruit on the table, she burst into tears. "Chad, you always use my feelings for you to make me eat this fruit." She was mad at Leo for manipulating her and even madder at herself for being so easily controlled.

Seeing Anya cry, Leo panicked. "Hey, why are you crying?"

Leo didn't know how to comfort her, so he clumsily wiped the tears off her face with an unusual gentleness. His voice softened, "How about I don't make you eat anymore? I'll eat. You just watch."

Anya replied, "But if you eat it, then I'm of no use to you, and you won't let me come tomorrow."

Leo, finding dating to be exhausting, said, "I'll still ask you to come over, okay?"

It took a while to calm her down, with Leo promising again and again that she could come the next day and that he wouldn't force her to eat fruit. Finally, she stopped crying.

The clueless guy in love gradually began to change after getting a girlfriend.

Later, Leo ended up eating half the plate of fruit himself and couldn’t take any more, realizing how much he had been forcing Anya to eat. "Why didn’t you tell me you couldn’t eat it?"

"I did, but you said if I didn't eat, you wouldn't let me leave," Anya said, feeling wronged.

Leo asked, "Why didn’t you hit me?"

Anya puffed her cheeks, "Auntie never taught me to fight. I can't beat you."

Leo urged, "You can hit me. I won’t hit back."

Anya thought for a moment and said, "Then next time, I will hit you."

Later, Leo took Anya out for dinner, buying food for her while he didn’t eat because he was still full from the fruit.

Leo's job was always unstable, but Anya, being smart, didn’t ask too many questions, not wanting to add to Leo’s worries. She always stayed by Leo’s side, being a happy and joyful presence. This way, her Chad always felt much more peaceful every time he saw her.

Anya’s approach worked; seeing her, Leo’s mood improved significantly.

Henry also followed his dad to the office. Since he started calling him 'Daddy,' every time the little voice softly called out "Daddy," Andre's heart would swell with a sweetness as if dipped in honey.

Entering the office, he carried Henry, who kept calling out "Daddy" along the way, a sound Andre never tired of hearing, though he kept his composure.

Only in the elevator did he hug his son and kiss his cheek.

Then Henry turned and hugged his dad's face, returning the affection with enthusiasm.
