Molly took a day off and dialed Andre, "Hey, Andre, got a sec?"
That morning, Mia had barely settled at her parents' place when her husband called. "I'm heading down the mountain to pick up Dad with Molly. Want to come for a ride?"
Andre's other half was quick to reply, "Babe, swing by and get me~"
With Henry in tow, Andre hit the road.
Molly rang up Hansen, "Dad, don’t stress. Andre, Mia, Henry, and I are all coming to get you. Tell that guide not to leave. Does he think ignoring my calls will work? Doesn't he know I've got it all recorded?"
Hearing his children and grandson were on their way, Hansen stood a little straighter with pride. "Drive safely, I'll be waiting right here."
After hanging up, Hansen couldn't help but brag, "My kids are on their way, and my little grandson too."
On the drive over, Mia got the lowdown. By the afternoon, Hansen had gone a good distance to greet them, scooping up his squishy little grandson with a shower of kisses. "Did you miss Grandpa, Henry?"
Henry yawned and snuggled into his grandpa's neck, a comforting reunion after a day apart.
When Harry attempted to get in on the action, Henry only wanted grandpa, making him beam with pride!
Andre and Molly went to have a word with the person in charge, while Mia hung out with a group of seniors. "Dad, did you get your meds? We grabbed some spray on the way; try it on your rash."
With its scenic mountains and flowing rivers, the spot was stunning, though the accommodations were a bit rustic.
Springs gushed right by the road, and Hansen took his grandson to splash around, with Mia tagging along. Henry's little feet kicked in the water, his excitement like discovering a new world, so much so that he forgot all about his mom, joyfully playing in the stream.
"Hey, Johnson, is Molly going to be alright?" Mr. Smith voiced his concern.
Hansen shrugged, "Nothing to worry about. My kids are tough, especially with Andre around."
Mia watched as her son waded in, standing on rocks, looking up at his grandpa with a big grin.
She let the childhood joy happen, even if Henry got a bit wet.
After about half an hour, the siblings returned.
Mia asked her friend, "So, what did they say?"
Molly smirked, "Just a bunch of cowards. As soon as they saw Andre, they backed off. They didn't even realize Andre's dad was with us, kept apologizing, and offered compensation. I told them sorry won't cut it; I'm filing a complaint. These shady outfits need to be sorted out."
Watching his dad play with Henry, who giggled, showing off his little teeth in the water, Andre couldn't help but smile.
Mia suggested, "I looked it up; Mount Artis is a nice vacation spot, just a bit out of the way. There's a five-star hotel in the area. If Dad wants to stay longer, we should arrange for the seniors to move there. We can't fit them all in our car, and they seem keen to stay."
Andre agreed, "Let Mia handle it."
After checking with the seniors, who all wanted to stay, Mia contacted the hotel. By around four, the hotel sent a car to pick them up.
A luxury car followed them as they left.
Henry, now bonded with his grandpa, decided to stick around and hopped on the bus with him instead of leaving with his parents.
At the hotel, Mia and Molly sorted the check-in, "Dad, this place is popular with seniors, so if you need anything, just ask the staff. If you want to head home, give us a call, and we’ll come get you," Mia reminded.
Hansen nodded, "Got it, I won't forget."
Molly added, "Reserve another room on that floor. I'll bring two more seniors in a few days. Book it for a week, and we can extend if needed."
