“I see you took a shower. Let’s have breakfast together. I will drop you off at your home after 

that.” 

I closed my eyes in irritation and turned to him. 

“No, thanks. I can go back by myself.” 

“How? Without a pair of shoes?” he said, lowering his gaze at my feet.
