Talented Martial Hero novel Chapter 766

It was a piece of cake for Darren, Elsa, and Nate to fly for eighty thousand kilometers as they headed west.

Unfortunately, after slaughtering millions of tiny black beasts, the air was filled with the smell of blood. It was almost suffocating for them to fly through that region.

A towering mountain came into their view.

Colorful clouds and mists encircled the mountains, and peculiar birds shuttled in-between. Everything seemed quiet and serene.

"Phew!" Darren, Elsa, and Nate took a deep breath. As the fresh air filled their lungs, they felt revitalized.

"Let's fly higher and investigate." Darren raised his head and gazed at the summit that stretched into the sky.

"That man is so powerful that it will not be easy for us to go up," Elsa remarked with a frown.

"You guys stay here. I'll go up and check," Darren instructed.

"Why do you do this all the time, Darren? You go off on your own and leave me behind, humph!" Elsa said with a pout.

"This time, it's different, Elsa. You and Nate can cultivate here. And if anything happens to me, you can always help me, right?"

Darren knew that the speed of cultivation in this region was several times faster than that of the outside world. Once Elsa's killing sword intent improved, her fighting power would also be enhanced. Since this would be helpful to him, Darren suggested that Elsa stay and cultivate.

When Elsa didn't reply, Darren smiled and said, "At least try the cultivation speed here before getting upset with me. I promise you will love this place more."

"Humph!" Reluctantly, she sat and began to practice the killing sword intent in her mind.

"Ah." After a while, she glanced at Darren in surprise, and said, "How did I cultivate so fast?"

"Do you remember the time I told you about the precious treasure I found? It is here!"

"Oh, I see. I should also cultivate now, or else I will lag behind you and Elsa, and be a burden." Nate called upon the Primitive Fighting Force and began to cultivate and deduce.

In a few seconds, Nate and Elsa both quieted down as they became completely immersed in their cultivation.

With a slight smile, Darren leaped into the air and began his journey to the top of the Barren Mountain.

The wind howled in Darren's ears, and he disappeared into the clouds.

Crack.

Bolts of lightning sparkled next to Darren. These seemed to contain a mysterious power that people did not understand.

Rows of iron chains had been intertwined and embedded into the mountainside. The other end of the chains seemed to disappear into the void.

A small passage, just enough to accommodate one person, lay in the middle of the iron chains.

Darren flew into the passage. All of a sudden, darkness and cold air enveloped him.

Boom.

Darren felt a huge tremble as if millions of huge beasts were galloping past him. A moment later, countless rays of dim light flashed before his eyes. Darren's body spun as he felt himself sinking into an abyss.

Darren didn't struggle at all.

After a while, he felt as though the speed with which he was falling had slowed.

Soon, he saw what appeared to be a piece of decaying land.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

As soon as Darren landed on the land, many figures in armor popped out from all directions. Within seconds, they had surrounded Darren.

"Huh!"

Darren's heart skipped a beat. He was able to sense that all these creatures had a majestic momentum.

Thousands of powerful creatures rushed toward Darren.

Darren gathered all his strength, and his aura exploded.

Despite his quick reaction, Darren was shocked by the experience. Each of these creatures was well above his fighting ability. He could not contend with one, let alone the hundred thousand creatures that were charging at him.

Boom.

The earth trembled as numerous figures passed over the area where was Darren standing. To Darren's astonishment, they passed through him without causing any harm to him.

"They are illusions!" Relief coursed through Darren when he realized what they were.

"It looked so real." Although these creatures were illusions and not phantoms, Darren was still reeling from the shock he had felt at the thought of having to fight an overwhelming number of overmatches.

Once Darren returned to normal, he leaped into the air and looked down at the land.

The thick black mist dissipated from the area across from the troops, and a black chariot seemed to arrive from deep underground. On it sat a middle-aged man in black armor.
