Tangled Temptations novel Chapter 122

Eloise refused to get out of the car. She sat there, looking up at him with a hint of grievance on her face. Her emotions were evident, especially in her beautiful dewy eyes.

Harvey bent over and actually lifted her out of the car.

"Walk yourself, or do you want me to carry you?"

Scared of losing her dignity, Eloise asked him to put her down. "Harvey, I don't want to be a part of your next scandal."

He put her down.

His gaze was fixed on her, focusing on her face, her slender shoulders, and her beautiful dress.

After a long pause, he muttered. "Nice dress!"

Eloise was so mad that her face turned red.

After spending so much time with him, she could tell that Harvey was very superficial, always judging women by their looks. A slight touch-up, and he was all over her, wanting to get intimate anytime and anywhere.

Eloise didn't take it as a compliment.

She was merely his plaything, while Joan was his real goddess.

At the hotel front desk.

The front desk girl sneaked a peek at him while checking them in.

Harvey was a local celebrity in Peterborough and a single millionaire. But rumors said he now had a girlfriend, and after looking at the gorgeous girl beside him, she thought that she must be his girlfriend.

The gossip-loving girl handed him a room card while stealing glances at him.

"Room 3601, Mr. Horigan. Enjoy your stay."

Harvey took the room card from her hand.

In such a place, he could carry on without batting an eye, acting smoothly.

But for Eloise, it was her first time at a hotel with a man, and she felt uncomfortable throughout.

In the elevator.

Harvey pinned her against the elevator wall, tilted her chin, and kissed her.

Eloise couldn't dodge, for he blocked her escape with his knee.

She went limp.

Harvey chuckled quietly.

After the kiss, they were both panting hard, especially Eloise, who had a thin vein popping out on her forehead.

He gently stroked it.

Suddenly, he remembered the scene at the club earlier, where Eloise was in Landon's embrace and there was clearly some emotional turbulence.

Feeling a pang of discomfort, he asked her. "Would you have really called Landon hubby if I hadn't taken you away?"

Eloise opened her eyes, looking at him in a daze.

After a while, she finally understood his insinuations, and knowing that she couldn't avoid him today, she decided to make him uncomfortable.

She hugged Harvey.

She leaned on his neck, whispering in a soft, seductive voice. "I would."

Harvey stiffened slightly.

Eloise let go of him, leaned against the elevator wall, and exhaled lightly. "If I don't call him hubby, should I call you hubby?"

It was a provocation.

But Harvey was ignited.

There were many women who wanted to sleep with him, but he wasn't interested in them. Eloise was different. Despite their numerous close encounters, every time she looked at him with her moist eyes, he couldn't resist.

This was something Joan couldn't give him.

Joan was also very beautiful, but her beauty was aggressive. Plus, with their unpleasant past, Harvey never had any fantasies about her, let alone impulses.

But Eloise was gentle and beautiful, making men want to hold her.

The elevator was a public place, so Harvey had to restrain himself.

He just gently caressed her face, gazing at her deeply with his slender eyes, as if he were trying to see every inch of her skin clearly.

Although they didn't do anything, the ambiance in the elevator was like a blazing flame.

...

The elevator door opened with a "ding."

Harvey, holding Eloise's hand, swiped the card and opened the door to the suite.

He held Eloise by the floor-to-ceiling window, leaving only a small night light on, allowing him to admire her under the dim light.

While gently cupping her face, he kissed her passionately.

Just as their passion was about to burst, Eloise suddenly turned her face away and began to struggle.

She felt mistreated.
