Orlena was taken aback. Her eyes slowly welled up with tears. Orlena heard it. She took the phone. Her voice was nasal and hoarse. “Brett, what’s the point of this! Why did you think I couldn’t wait back then? Why did you think I was just an immature girl, not worthy to be your wife! Now why do you think I have to wait for you!”

She hung up after speaking, feeling too upset to continue.

Her assistant took her phone and was shocked by the conversation. Ms. Horigan and Mr. Brett, they were once close enough to be actually talking about marriage!
