Things didn't go as planned. Denise's flight had a hiccup and got delayed. She tried to call Harvey from the waiting area, but his phone was switched off because he was in the middle of a court hearing.
It wasn't until lunchtime when the hearing ended that Harvey turned his phone back on and saw Denise's message. He frowned as he processed the information.
An assistant to his client, Mr. Hughes, approached him respectfully saying, "Attorney Horigan, our boss would like to invite you to lunch."
Harvey put down his phone and replied with a nonchalant smile, "Please express my gratitude to Mr. Hughes! I have some urgent matters to attend to, I'm afraid I can't make it."
Just as they were talking, Mr. Hughes himself came over.
Mr. Hughes, a businessman in his forties with a refined appearance, shook hands with Harvey and said warmly, "Harvey, you were brilliant in court. I won't keep you if you have important matters to attend to! Next time you're in town, let me show you some hospitality."
"Absolutely!" Harvey responded, ever so charming.
Mr. Hughes thought highly of him and had his own driver take Harvey to the airport. Denise's flight was delayed for half a day, so she decided to catch the same flight back with Harvey.
Before the plane took off, Harvey tried calling Eloise again. But her phone was still off.
He frowned, something must be up!
Over in Peterborough, Eloise had been staying in all day. Michelle was emotionally unstable, so she spent a lot of time with her. By evening, she made dinner for Michelle. As they were eating, Eloise softly said, "I'm meeting a friend later, someone Veronica introduced. They might be able to help us."
Michelle was a bit skeptical.
Eloise held her hand and said, "Really! Michelle, I want to give it a shot."
Perhaps Eloise was very convincing, and Michelle believed her.
