Eloise couldn't help but look up when she heard that.

She saw Ravenna chit-chatting with a few ladies.

These ladies were the mothers of Eloise's former piano students. They used to have a good relationship with Eloise, but since Eloise's reputation took a hit, they collectively requested a change of piano teachers.

Ravenna took over all her students.

Their unexpected encounter now made the atmosphere a bit awkward. The ladies forced a smile but did not initiate a greeting.

Eloise, however, greeted them cordially.

Ravenna, who was dumped by Max, bore a deep grudge against Eloise. Now with these mothers around, it was undoubtedly a great opportunity for her to humiliate Eloise.

Ravenna walked over.

She whispered, "Eloise, didn't expect to bump into you here! Seems like life after resigning isn't too shabby, huh? The coffee here isn't something you can afford casually, especially now that your family is in a bind, you can't splurge like before."

Eloise merely smiled faintly.

Ravenna purposely raised her voice, "The rumors on the school forum aren't true, are they? Eloise, you're not really shacking up with an old man for money, are you?"

The ladies all gasped.

They just realized how beautiful Eloise was. She used to tutor their kids for free at their homes, maybe she was trying to seduce their husbands!

Thus, their impression of Eloise worsened.

Eloise didn't retort.

She smiled and said, "There is someone, we just started dating."

Ravenna was taken aback.

She didn't expect Eloise to admit so candidly. Seems like she really found a rich old man, she won't be short of money in the future!

Ravenna also smiled and said to the mothers, "Guess that’s her choice!"

The ladies had a warm attitude towards Ravenna, just like they used to towards Eloise.
