"Enya!" Maynard whispered my name, holding me tightly against his chest and comforting me.

"Please don't cry. I am here for you," he said, rubbing my back gently. His cologne seemed so fresh and intoxicating. I stopped crying, but I kept my head against his hard chest for a few minutes.
