Although Justin asked her to help him choose a ring for Alexis, Scarlett found that the ring shown by the shop assistant was specially designed according to Alexis’ favorite style and the size of her finger.
At first glance, Scarlett could see that the ring was customized for Alexis. Wearing a half-smile, she asked, "Did you bring me out today to stimulate me on purpose?"
"Of course not."
Justin glanced at her sideways. "Lex has no relatives left in this world, and she always regards you as her own sister. I know what you’ve always been worried about, so I brought you out today to prove that I love her with all my heart. If one day I treat her badly, you can just take her away from me."
Scarlett froze for a moment, and then she looked at him and laughed. "Although you find yourself a good excuse, I still think your main purpose is to make me jealous of your love towards her."
Justin also burst into laughter. He took the ring wrapped by the shop assistant and said, "Want to have lunch together?"
Scarlett smiled and shook her head. "I'm afraid that if we had dinner together, your surprise prepared for
Lex wouldn't achieve your desired effect."
Although the paparazzi had lost interest in her recently, there might still be someone secretly following her.
Moreover, Justin was quite different from before. The two of them went to buy a house and even chose a ring together. If they had lunch together again, she might be misunderstood by the public as Justin's girlfriend.
"Then I'll send you home.”
"No, thanks. I'd like to go shopping on my own."
Justin just nodded without saying anything. Then he turned around and left.
Scarlett took a glance at his back. Upon seeing that he had left the jewelry store, she turned to the shop assistant and asked, "Do you have rings designed for single women?"
The shop assistant was stunned, for she probably didn't expect such a beautiful woman to be single.
But considering that the ring bought by Justin was very expensive, and this lady was his friend, she realized that Scarlett might also be wealthy. Then she quickly led Scarlett aside to show her some rings.
Scarlett was also on a whim. When she married Raymond back then, he bought a pair of rings for the two of them. The design was quite simple, and she forgot who picked them in the first place. She cherished her ring a lot and wore it for three years. However, a few months before the divorce, she found that Raymond's ring was in the cabinet of her room.
