At night, Scarlett had fallen asleep in bed. Raymond carefully moved his arm off Scarlett's body and tucked her in. And then he got out of bed and went outside the room and called Frank.
Raymond had informed Frank in advance that he was back, so Frank was not surprised to receive Raymond's call." What’s the matter, Mr. Shaw?"
"I need you to investigate a man for me."
Frank was confused for a moment, but he quickly responded, "No problem. What's the name?"
"Devin Roach."
Hearing the name, Frank immediately understood. Someone had been investigating Scarlett in secret. Frank was afraid that the person was going to do harm to Scarlett, so he blocked most of Scarlett's information.
"Okay, Mr. Shaw. I'll email his file to you later."
"OK," Raymond responded. Then he hung up the phone.
Scarlett had never told Raymond about Devin. Raymond believed Scarlett didn't mean to keep it from him. She probably felt that Devin was irrelevant, and there was no need to bring it up to Raymond.
However, a few hours earlier, in the hotel lobby, Raymond sensed that Devin had hideous intentions for Scarlett.
How could anyone in Juanton City dare to have any intentions on Raymond Shaw's wife? How bold Devin was!
The Roach family was a piece of cake to Raymond.
Raymond curled the corner of his mouth and went back into the room with his phone.
Scarlett was probably tired. She was sleeping like a log.
Raymond sat on the edge of the bed and watched Scarlett. He wasn't sleepy at all because of the jet lag.
Things in Bomsville were almost done. Only a few more formalities were to be proceeded. Raymond hadn't seen Scarlett for over a month and he couldn't wait to come back to see her.
This time the purpose he came back home was to marry Scarlett.
