Scarlett turned off the hairdryer. Now, she felt sleepy and couldn't help but yawn.
"Are you sleepy?”
"Yeah."
Scarlett nodded her head and raised her hand to wipe her eyes.
Raymond took the hairdryer and lowered his head to kiss Scarlett on the forehead. " Go to sleep, honey. Good night."
"Good night."
Scarlett gave him a look and turned around to lie down. She then pulled up the quilt and quickly fell asleep.
When Raymond came out of the bathroom after taking a shower, he found Scarlett was already asleep.
He raised his hand and turned off the main light, leaving only the night light on.
Scarlett was sleeping soundly. Raymond leaned forward and touched her face, but she didn't wake up at all.
Raymond pulled up the quilt and tucked her in. Then he turned around and went out to the balcony.
The night breeze in September was cool. Raymond looked at the dark night sky in the distance and thought of what Justin had said to him today. "Raymond, it is so painful to give birth to a baby. If you do not like kids, you'd better not let Scarlett suffer the pain."
Justin said that when Scarlett and
Raymond had just arrived at the hospital
and Alexis had just started having contractions.
Scarlett stayed in the ward with Alexis to distract Alexis's attention and wait for Alexis's cervix to dilate to ten centimeters. Raymond and Justin went out to get some food.
They had stayed outside for almost an hour or so, and that was the only thing Justin had said to Raymond.
Raymond actually did not long for a baby. He didn't even want to have a baby if Scarlett did not like kids either.
