Harley just spilled out those sappy words and caught Cindy by surprise. She quickly took a look at the three girls ahead in nervousness. They were nearly ten meters ahead of them, so it was impossible for them to overhear Cindy and Harley's conversation. Nevertheless, Cindy still feared their hearing Harley's sweet words.
Cindy thought in the past that Harley was as cold as ice, and he treated everyone this same way. Her impression on him changed for the better after she had become his secretary this year or so, but he was still an aloof man in her eyes.
It was after they had entered into a relationship that she found him a totally different man. He was a sappy man inside with a lot of sappy words in his mind. To make things worse, he would say those embarrassing words seriously, making her feel that it was improper to show shyness or agitation.
It was like Harley could not care less about what others might think of him hearing him say those sensational words to Cindy.
And if anyone should feel awkward, then it should be Cindy.
People came and went around the airport, and anyone passing by might hear what Harley had said. At the thought of the possibility, Cindy still flushed because of Harley's sappy words, and her heart pounded quickly all the way even after quite a while.
Not able to come to herself, Cindy didn’t give a reaction in time when Vicky called her upon arriving at the parking lot.
Unlike Cindy, the three girls had accepted the news during the several minutes’ walk here.
Rather than feeling taken aback, they should feel happy for Cindy when she had won Harley, the Mr. cold's heart.
The three of them actually peeped at the couple through the reflection of their cell phone screen and found that Harley really cared about Cindy. Though they were not having very intimate interactions, Harley had been very considerate, for just now when Cindy seemed to be in a trance and nearly bumped into someone, Harley noticed it at once and pulled her to his side in time.
Most importantly, tenderness replaced the coldness and harshness in the man’s eyes when he looked at Cindy, like he could just cling to her by looking at her, and no one else was to take her from him.
They had specially arranged two cars to pick them up, and naturally, Cindy and Harley would take the same car, so it meant that one of the three girls had to be the driver for them.
They had drawn lots, and the task had fallen upon Sue's shoulder. But now, knowing that she would have to play gooseberry, she refused it with all her life," Spare me! I think Harley does not want to see any of us around!"
She was right, and Sabrina and Vicky had the same feeling.
If it was Vicky or Sue that had come with Cindy, it would be okay even if Sabrina didn't pick them up after they had a long journey, for no one would mind since they shared a profound friendship.
But the person who came with Cindy was Harley, their senior and now Cindy's boyfriend.
Besides, they came to attend Sabrina's wedding, and it was only polite not to let them drive themselves after the tiring trip.
