Cindy had no idea that so much had happened offstage. As she finished her tasks and got off stage, Sabrina and the groom started exchanging rings. In the meanwhile, all the food was served.
Cindy hadn't felt hungry. But standing on the stage with so many people watching her and with the sparkling spotlight overhead, she felt shy and awkward. She wanted to get off the stage soon.
Now that she was off stage and saw the table full of delicious food, and instantly, she felt hungry.
All the bridesmaids and their boyfriends were seated by the same table. In addition to Cindy and Harley, there were Sabrina's girlfriends, her cousins, and their boyfriends.
Sabrina's wedding party was luxurious. The banquet provided all kinds of seafood. Each lobster was worth hundreds of dollars, not to mention the abalone and sea cucumber.
Just after Cindy got seated, Harley handed her a glass of juice. "How are your feet?" Harley whispered, his warm breath spraying on the back of her ear. Cindy was a little tensed up. "I'm fine."
She had Band-Aids on her heels and was comfortable in her new shoes. She couldn't feel any pain on her feet.
"Do you want to have some shrimp?"
"Sure."
Harley got Cindy some soup, and then he put a lobster on her plate and patiently
removed the shells for her.
Cindy was enjoying the delicious food the whole time. She didn’t even have to utter a word. Whatever she wanted to have, she simply cast a glance at it, and the next minute, Harley would put it on her plate.
Watching the scene, the other guests at the table were all amazed.
One of Sabrina's girlfriends tugged at her boyfriend with her elbow and exclaimed," Look at Mr. Dane!" He's so sweet!”
Sabrina’s cousin also complained to her boyfriend, "Someone here won't either crack my lobster or serve me any food. I guess I'm not as lucky as Cindy."
Both the two had been with their boyfriends for years. Although they envied Cindy for having such a sweet boyfriend, they wouldn't break up with their
Some of them had boyfriends, but none of them were engaged.
The officiant was humorous. "That's okay. In that case, the bride must be careful. It's up to you whether these two ladies can find their Mr. Right!"
Vicky was always a bold girl. She happened to be standing beside the officiant. She didn't feel shy about the officiant’s words but grabbed the microphone and shouted, "Sabrina, throw the bouquet at Cindy! They just put on such a sweet show in front of us that we are so envious!"
Vicky's voice came out through the microphone, and all the guests heard it. There was laughter and applause.
Sue pushed Cindy forward at the same time. Cindy stood there, blushing with embarrassment.
Sabrina looked at Cindy and claimed, "I won’t let you guys down!"
Then Sabrina turned around, raised her hand, and threw the bouquet back.
