Classmates were talking about Cindy and Harley being together, but Margaret didn't believe it. Then, the next second, Harley's words gave Margaret a blow out of the blue.
The guy who used to be the class monitor exclaimed that Cindy and Harley were so perfect for each other, and Harley responded with "thank you", which made it so obvious.
Hearing Harley's words, Yesenia and the other students all subconsciously glanced at Margaret.
Margaret had started a conversation with Yesenia earlier in the class chat group, mapping out that Cindy had hooked up with a rich middle-aged man. And just as Margaret arrived here, she started blabbing about the rumor.
Now Cindy showed up, and she bought the " middle-aged rich man" with her.
But the "middle-aged rich man" was not anybody else but Harley, their senior schoolmate.
They all knew Harley. Harley was a well-known outstanding graduate of the university. And he used to be an assistant tutor in their class.
Several girls in their class had a crush on Harley back then, and Margaret was the most high-profile one of them all.
Now Cindy and Harley had been together. Naturally, some people would be jealous, but more people looked forward to watching the joke on Margaret.
Margaret was so arrogant back in college. As she had a pretty face, she used to claim herself as Harley's girlfriend.
Cindy was also a pretty girl, but she had been a quiet girl all four years in college. She never stirred anything up.
Actually, in their freshman year, Margaret started to hate Cindy because the latter had been selected as the College Girl of the Year. During their four years in college, Margaret said a lot of nasty things about Cindy. All of their classmates knew that Margaret had a grudge against Cindy.
But now that Cindy was with Harley, it was like a slap in the face to Margaret.
"Wow, Cindy is Harley’s girlfriend! No wonder someone was talking about the gossip in our group early this morning, saying Cindy has hooked up with an ugly ' rich man’! Wow, how can Harley be called ugly? I guess someone was just being jealous."
