Tristen smiled and said, "You do favor lust over friendship! How come I didn't find out you were such a person before?"
Tristen and Harley had known each other for six or seven years. When they first met, they both had a miserable time.
At that time, Tristen was sent down to take charge of a branch in Juanton City by his family. Without pocket money, and he also had to rely on himself for living expenses. His family was hard-hearted and determined to ignore him.
As soon as Harley's so-called friends received his phone call to borrow money, they said the signal was bad and they couldn't hear what he said.
It was a winter day and snowing heavily. Tristen had only twenty dollars left in his pocket. He bought a pack of cigarettes, and then in the pool room, he played pool with the rest of the money, betting against his opponent players for thirty dollars a round.
He played from midday until two o'clock in the morning, winning many rounds and more than three hundred dollars. But he was targeted by a few bad guys.
After he left the pool room, on his way back, those bad guys surrounded him, trying to rob him of the money he had won.
Tristen was never easy to mess with since he was a child! Now he only had this money, and there was someone who even wanted to rob him! These guys were grabbing food from a hungry tiger's mouth, and Tristen would never back down!
Tristen used to fight a lot. He was sent down to Juanton City also because of the trouble caused by his fight.
But the opponents who used to fight with him in the past were some rich and playful dandies, and their fighting capacity was poor.
While these robbers were real tough guys. They were ruthless and hard.
Tristen was one-to-many after all, and he couldn’t hold back after a while.
It was snowing heavily, and Tristen was cold and hungry. When he was kicked down on the snow, he was about to accept his fate and give up fighting back.
After his mother died, the Mercado family wished he had died too. Tristen sometimes didn’t know what he was living for.
But right then, Harley appeared out of nowhere. With an iron rod in his hand, brave and mighty Harley beat those bad guys away.
After Harley got them away, he walked over and kicked Tristen, who was lying on the snow, "Are you dead? Get up if you're not dead! Stand up!"
