Luis grunted, "If you are not on good terms with your classmates in your previous school, why would that guy come especially to our school to find you?”
Alison was embarrassed. "He wanted me to help him with his lessons. I've helped him before."
Luis looked back at her and asked, "Does Torey still help you with your math?"
"Yes, he does."
Luis snorted and didn't say anything else. He then sped up and rode his bike as fast as he could.
Soon they arrived at the Lynch family's house, and Luis abrutly stopped the bike.
Alison lost her balance and threw herself on Luis' back.
She blushed terribly, "I’m sorry."
Luis's ears were also slightly reddened in the setting sunlight.
He swallowed a bit and let her off his bike in a deep voice.
Alison hurriedly got off the bike. Standing aside, she looked up at Luis timidly, "I'm really sorry."
"Go inside."
Luis’s voice was different from usual.
Alison was afraid of making him angrier, so she compressed her lips and turned to enter the house.
Only when Alison turned around and headed inside the house did Luis look up, a blush on his cheeks.
Dinner was ready. The three kids usually came home around 6:40. But today they were about ten minutes late. Alexis was worried that something had happened to Alison. Just as she was about to call Alison, Alison came upstairs.
"You're home."
Seeing that dinner was ready, Alison apologized, "Sorry. I'm late today."
"It's okay! Go wash your hands, and let's have dinner. Luis isn't home yet!"
