It was not snowing that day but it was windy, so Scarlett did not stay long in the cemetery and drove away after she finished pizza.
It was quiet in the street. Scarlett drove very slowly like a turtle moving tardily on the road.
Once she parked the car, she got a call from Alexis.
Looking up at the gloomy sky, Scarlett put the hand back, the one with which she was going to push the door open. "Don't you enjoy the lovers' world?" she said.
Alexis had been calling her frequently, but wasn't she worried if Justin got jealous?
Alexis sneered, "Lettie, don't you know that you are m y only true love? I just worry about you for the weather is terrible. How about coming over and having hotpot with us?"
Scarlett smiled, "Does it make me too ungrateful if I say no?"
"Uh, can you bear to see my heart broken?"
"Honestly, I can."
But...
"I don't know what I am going to have for dinner
tonight, so I might stop by because of your hospitality." "Cool. I'll take my leave to prepare the food for you."
"You have my permission."
Scarlett hung it up and looked at the steering wheel. All right. Maybe she should return the car after she got there.
Scarlett wound down the window and sat there staring blankly until it got 3 pm, then she drove to Alexis' house.
Being nostalgic, the house Alexis and Justin bought was near the one where they used to live. It was slightly far away from the downtown, so it took near one hour for Scarlett to get there.
