It was hard to hail a taxi on holidays. Scarlett couldn't get a taxi after waiting for 5 minutes.
Raymond looked at the baseball bat in her hand and asked her, "Are you going to the Hudson family?"
Hearing that, Scarlett turned to look at him, "Ah-huh?"
The people of the Hudson family had chosen the day when Scarlett was in a bad temper to provoke her.
Since they dared to treat Scarlett like this, she would not be polite to them. Also, she wouldn't let them enjoy this holiday.
Normally, Scarlett would have endured and plotted her vengeance when she faced this sort of thing.
At that time, however, all she wanted was revenge at once, and no one could stop her.
Before the divorce, Raymond thought Scarlett was a scheming, snobby, and greedy woman. But after they got divorced, he thought she was an authoritative and decisive woman.
Scarlett could be multifaceted, such as gentle, quiet, aggressive, wayward, and cute, all of which he had seen.
Before that night, Raymond liked Scarlett's beauty and
her determination. And his fondness for her was tinged with guilt.
Just at that moment, Raymond realized that he really fell in love with her.
He couldn’t tell what he loved her. Anyway, he had been completely attracted to her. That was the first time he was willing to be tied to a woman for the rest o f his life.
"I'll drive you up there."
He didn't say that he would accompany her. He knew that she did not need that at all.
Sure enough, Scarlett turned to look at him when she heard that.
