Raymond did not say anything. The pressure inside the office made it hard for one to breathe.
After a moment of stalemate, Scarlett shrugged and said, "Okay, I won't disturb you, Mr. Shaw. Monday, 9:0 0 am, the City Hall, be there or be square.”
Once she finished, she lifted her hand to tuck her loose hair behind her ear. Before she left, she was not resigned to the outcome, after all. "Raymond Shaw, congratulations. You're free-you finally got rid of me, a shameless woman."
Scarlett looked at him and laughed at herself.
"What kind of trick are you playing again?"
This time, Raymond finally spoke, but his words were piercing as usual.
Scarlett glanced at him and responded, "Don’t worry, this time, it’s for real. That said, let me also tell you that this is your only and last time to get rid of me, so you must cherish it.”
Her eyes were a bit hot. She did not want to lose her face and give him the chance to ridicule her by crying in front of him. As such, she turned around and left in her high heels.
Raymond watched as she walked away. Only when she disappeared around the corner did he reach out to flip the divorce agreement in front of him.
This divorce agreement was drafted by someone on Scarlett's side. Based on the whole agreement, she did not ask for a single penny from all of his property. In a way, she was leaving the marriage with nothing.
Raymond was not surprised that Scarlett wanted a divorce. It had been three years, after all, and he did not take her as a wife at all.
Despite that, he did not believe that she did not want anything from the divorce.
Scarlett had always had a big appetite. Back when the Shaw family asked her how she would like to be repaid for saving Jean, she asked to be married to Raymond.
Unfortunately, she miscalculated. Raymond had long done a property notarization before they got married s o that it would be easier to send her away if he one day could not take it anymore.
This time, it seemed like it was also a trick of hers.
Raymond twitched his mouth mockingly and lifted his hand to toss the divorce agreement to the side. He did not take it seriously.
Scarlett walked out of the building. Alexis’ sports car was very striking.
Alexis opened the passenger door just as Scarlett was walking over. "How was it? Did he sign it?"
Scarlett lowered her body and sat inside. "No."
"That can't be. Julie Woods is back, isn't Raymond worried?"
Scarlett fastened her seatbelt and glanced at her. " Alexa, are you doing this intentionally?" 1
Everything Alexis said was hurtful. If it was not for their friendship of over a decade, she could immediately create a piece of news.
Alexis touched her nose embarrassedly when her little plan was exposed. "It’s my first time seeing someone getting a divorce in high spirits. I just wanted to test if you've really given up or were just infuriated."
"Be a human, Alexis!"
Scarlett did not want to care about the gloating fellow next to her. She simply shut her eyes and automatically blocked everything out.
The sports car stopped after half an hour. Scarlett opened her eyes and unfastened her seatbelt." Thanks.”
Alexis remained in the car and gave her two flying kisses. "Don't secretly cry, Lettie. Love you~ Muacks!”
As soon as she finished, the red sports car vroomed away.
Scarlett was so mad that she laughed. 'What kind of bad friend do I have!'
Her villa was cleaned by the housekeeper in advance.
The smart door look gathered several recognition methods such as speech, fingerprint, facial, and so on. Once she called out, "Hilla, open the door", the sandalwood door in front of her automatically opened inward. "Welcome home, Master." 1
"Hilla, boil some water.”
