Scarlett got into Raymond's car. The warm air inside the car contrasted sharply with the cold outside world.
There was a faint smell of perfume inside the car. Scarlett knew it was Raymond's perfume.
The perfume was specially made. It was so delicate that it could hardly be smelt if Scarlett was two feet away from him. But once she got closer to him, she could smell his delicate perfume. The top notes were lime, orange, and mint; the middle note was sandalwood; the base notes were orchid and musk.
When she married Raymond back then, she learned how to make perfume in order to prepare his birthday gift.
Scarlett was so smart that she could acquire a skill easily. It took her more than three months to learn the skill and make a bottle of Raymond's favorite perfume. However, the perfume bottle was broken by Tiffany before she could give it to Raymond.
Now it seemed that everything was predestined.
Scarlett pulled herself back to the present. Outside the windshield, Raymond had already hung up the phone. Katherine went up and said something to him. He looked back at Scarlett and then walked back to her." I've already called Frank. I will take you home."
Scarlett raised her eyebrows slightly. "How soon can Frank arrive?"
Her secretary, Katherine, was also a pretty young woman. This place was so empty that Scarlett was worried about Katherine's safety.
"In fifteen minutes."
"Let us wait for him, okay?"
"Okay."
Raymond responded and tilted his head to look at her. "Katherine seems to be on good terms with you."
Scarlett's pretty eyes flashed. "We are both Suny's subordinates."
Raymond didn't seem interested in Suny. "You didn’t g o out to work in the past three years just because of m e, right?"
Scarlett looked at him and didn't say anything.
Raymond must know the answer, so Scarlett did not want to answer him at all.
Seeing Scarlett's silence, Raymond dropped his eyes and seemed to think about something. In two seconds, he looked up at her again and said, "I'm sorry."
He used to think she was a gold-digger who wanted to marry into a wealthy family. However, he forgot that Scarlett was once the top student enrolled by Juanton University and that she majored in economics and management.
Scarlett did not want to mention the past. She looked out of the car window, her face a little cold. "Anyway, it's in the past."
