Alexis had many friends from all walks of life, so she quickly got the news about this evening's party.
Yet her friend exaggerated the affair, saying that Raymond loved Scarlett very much and was hurt by her. Alexis didn't believe it.
She thought that Scarlett and Raymond might have met and something happened between them.
Scarlett was surprised that Alexis knew it so soon. She took a sip of warm water. "Nothing. Raymond is crazy."
"What? Did he say he likes you in front of so many people?"
Scarlett was indifferent to what Raymond said at first. She was somehow not so calm when Alexis asked about it.
She pursed her lips and grunted.
"Is he serious or just playing with you?"
"Serious."
Alexis was lost for words.
That bastard wanted to get back together with Scarlett. Alexis didn't know whether she should encourage Scarlett to be with him.
Alexis thought it was up to Scarlett.
However, as Scarlett's best friend, she cared about her. "Do you still have feelings for him?"
Scarlett was stumped.
She was not sure. She despaired of Raymond during those three years. She no longer wanted to be with him.
Yet did she still like Raymond?
She had loved him since she was fifteen years old. Scarlett covered her eyes. She couldn't lie to herself." Isn't it said that the first love is always the most unforgettable?"
"So Raymond can't forget Julie forever, right?"
Scarlett felt that she was taunted. "You said this on purpose?"
"I'm not this kind of person. I'm just curious about it."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
Scarlett hung up the phone, staring blankly at it.
She didn't expect Raymond to say that in front of everyone.
Yet it didn't mean that she was willing to come back t o him.
Alexis was wrong. Scarlett was not as soft-hearted as she thought.
One had to pay for what she had done.
Raymond and she were no exception.
People shouldn't be blinded by love. She had been impulsive and had been hurt deeply once. She didn't dare to risk it again.
